Nina’s Italian Chicken

…6-7 Chicken Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3 packets Good Seasons Zesty Italian Salad Dressing Mix
Red Wine Vinegar
Vegetable Oil
Fresh Garlic Cloves
White Cooking Wine (with Lemon)
Worcestershire Sauce
Pepper (fresh, cracked if possible)
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder
Chili Powder


If the chicken breasts are thick, pound and cut into smaller portion sizes. Put into large bowl for marinating. Dice finely 3-4 large pieces of garlic, add to salad dressing container; proceed to make salad dressing according to directions. Evenly season chicken w/salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder. Lightly shake chili powder evenly across the chicken in bowl. Add enough off the salad dressing to just cover the chicken. Add just about a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce (don’t worry about exact measurements, I do this by eye and never measure) and add about 1/4 c. of the cooking wine. Mix all this in the bowl. Deeply pierce each breast several times with a fork to ensure the marinade will infuse the poultry. Take a large piece of plastic wrap and cover the surface, sealing out the air. Stir every couple of hours; marinate at least 8 hours preferably overnight.
