homemade Limoncello
Supplies:
8 Lemons
750 ml of 100 proof vodka
2 cups sugar
Cute bottles with corks
To make this delicious Italian liquor, start by putting the peels of 8 lemons (yellow part only—no white pith) in a jar. Add 750 ml of 100-proof vodka and let sit for one week.
After it sits for one week, it’s time to make the sweet treat. Boil 2 cups of sugar with 3 cups of water and let the concoction cool. Strain the peels from the vodka and stir in the sugar mix. Pour the finished limoncello into cute, rustic bottles, which can be bought at a kitchen or cooking store for cheap…or use ones you have already at home.
