Ingredients:
Ground Beef
Tomato Soup (Campbell’s tastes best for the discerning palates)
Hot Sauce, optional
…Salt
Pepper
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder
Bread of your choosing
1 pound ground beef= 1 can soup
spices are to taste
Directions:
Brown ground beef in pan, adding spices. It’s okay to go heavier than you think is right as you will lose some when you drain the beef. Drain grease into heat-proof container. Add hot sauce if desired. Saute for a few minutes. Add tomato soup, stirring well. Reduce heat to med-low and simmer to reduce sauce. Serve on hamburger buns, toasted bread or your favorite bread-type substance.
Note: This is adapted from a Mid-Western “BBQ” recipe we often ate when I was growing up. It is handy for using up leftover ground beef as well as for an easy, quick meal. I often plan the “leftover” beef into my shopping list knowing this will be a meal for myself and the kiddos. 🙂
