Easy Cinnamon Rolls

contributed by Laura Woloshun Thompson

I made this this weekend from a taste of home cookbook. Really good, and EASY!!!!

1 package of crescent rolls in the tube

1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon, mixed together

OPTIONAL: 1 tbs butter

…

FROSTING:

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 or 2 tbs milk

roll out the crescent dough and mush together any perforations so it’s one long sheet of dough

sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the dough

(I rubbed the butter over the dough before sprinkling on the cinn/sugar…totally optional)

roll up, jelly roll style

cut into eight slices

arrange in a greased round cake pan

bake at 375 for about 8 minutes (recipe called for 10-12 minutes, but my family like things a little underdone. A burned cinnamon roll is just a bummer…and I found that the rolls were perfect at 8 minutes)

FROSTING: combine powdered sugar and milk to desired consistency, drizzle over warm rolls

I highly recomment doubling the recipe…my family devoured these little snack size rolls and were begging for more. I will be making a double batch next time!!
